About Project

Obanikoro is one of the busier residential pockets of Lagos Mainland, sitting between Palmgrove and Ilupeju along the Lagos–Ikorodu corridor — mostly flats, terraces, and family homes where residents want a space that feels different from the block next door without a full structural renovation. This project shows exactly that scenario: no demolition, no structural rework, just interior design, wall painting, and artistic mural branding used together to turn an ordinary interior into a distinctive one. It’s a useful case study because it’s the most common brief we get on Lagos Mainland: a client who isn’t renovating a house from scratch, but wants the interior to look, feel, and photograph like one that has been.

Understanding the Vision

The client wanted us to create a beautiful and welcoming space through good interior design, wall painting, and artistic mural designs. The goal was to make the space look attractive, creative, and suitable for its purpose — a home interior that felt considered rather than default, with the walls doing as much visual work as the furniture.

Initial Condition

Before work began, the interior had plain, unfinished wall surfaces typical of an estate flat handed over with basic paint and no design direction — functional, but with no colour strategy, no focal point, and no artistic element tying the rooms together. The space wasn’t damaged or in need of structural repair; it simply needed a design and finishing plan.

Design Concept

Rather than treating painting and mural work as separate line items, we planned them as one interior scheme from the start.
